Upper Level of Riverwalk Landing Parking Terrace Closing for Maintenance Beginning October 9
September 27, 2023
Beginning Monday, October 9, the upper level of the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace will be closed for maintenance, including repairs to the damaged substrate and expansion joints, as well as installation of parking blocks and speed bumps. To maximize the lifespan of the repairs, work must be performed during moderate temperatures avoiding extreme heat, cold, wind, and moisture. During the course of the project, portions of the upper level may reopen for limited parking.
The Yorktown Trolley will continue providing service to carry passengers to and from public parking lots (York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and others) throughout town seven days a week including the County’s Thursday concert series. To help direct visitors to free parking, attendants/ambassadors will be stationed at the parking terrace on concert evenings and weekends.
Effective immediately, all Waterfront public parking lots are closed from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. In addition, between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., the fishing pier is open for fishing only.
